Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk
What kid can resist the Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk? It's big, it's colorful, it's loud, it's exciting.

Though it's a really old amusement park, it's not dilapidated, but well maintained. It's famous for it's large wooden roller coaster built in the 1920's. Called the Big Dipper, it is a national historic landmark, as is the carousel, built in 1911.

There are also many other rides and attractions, including a 2 story arcade and a sky ride. Plus, the whole place is right on the beach! It's hard not to have fun here.
The beach boardwalk has seasonal hours. From Memorial Day to Labor Day they are open daily, and the rest of the year they are open weekends and holidays, weather permitting.

You can enter and walk around the boardwalk for free, but if you want to go on a ride, there are individual ride tickets or all-day tickets.
