Monterey Plaza Hotel And Spa

At the end of Canney Row, you'll find the Monterey Plaza Hotel and Spa, which is right at the water's ede and a short walk to all of Cannery Row's shops and restaurants.

The Monterey Aquarium is just a few blocks away at the opposite end of the Row, towards Pacific Grove.

The hotel has beautiful architecture and a colorful exterior. On the plaza is a fountain of playful dolphins.

The Monterey Plaza Hotel has just under 300 rooms, ten of which are luxury suites. Some ocean view balconies are available.

For fine dining on the premises, there's the Duck Club Grill, which is in full view of Monterey Bay. The more casual Schooner's Bistro On The Bay has indoor and outdoor seating, and juts out over the water.

As for the Vista Blue Spa, you can get everything from facials and massages to body wraps and whirpool baths. It's up on the top floor of this hotel and features a sundeck with a fireplace.

For a little exercise, I recommend walking along the coastal trail from the hotel all around Pacific Grove, but if you prefer, the hotel has a full service fitness center, complete with trainers. This is also located on the roof near the spa.
