Directory Of Small, Drive-Up MotelsMany of the Monterey motels are located along Munras Avenue, sort of a "motel row", or on Fremont Street, inland near the airport. Since the Monterey area is so cool, even in summer when it's hot just a little bit inland, people shouldn't take for granted that all Monterey motels come with air conditioning. If that is important for you, call and double check. Also, not all motels in this area have pools, and if they do, they may not be heated year round. Another good thing to double check if that matters for you.
