Monterey Bay Aquarium Discount

There are only a few ways to get a Monterey Bay Aquarium discount ticket, beyond the usual seniors, children and student reductions. They don't accept AAA cards for a discount either.

Here are your options, and they don't apply to all:

• Hotel Packages
  Most of the hotels in Monterey offer some sort of package deal, where you get a 2 for 1 admission ticket or 2 admission tickets along with a room in the hotel.
• Become A Member
  If you become a member of the Monterey Bay Aquarium, you get free admission for a year, plus your membership fee is tax deductible. If you live close enough to go more than once or twice a year, this is a really good deal, especially for families.

• Military
  Those who are in active duty or retired can buy discount tickets from certain places. For a list of those places, click here.


• Corporate discounts
  If you work for certain corporations, companies or credit unions who have corporate membership with the Monterey Bay Aquarium, you may be able to get special discount tickets through your human resources department. For a list of those companies, click here.


• Groups
  For 20 or more people, you can get discounted rates at the aquarium, usually a couple dollars off per ticket. The guests don't all need to come together, but must come on one of a set of designated days.
